My name is Kohlee Rice and I have been working in the wedding industry for several years. For 10 years, I worked as a hairstylist and have assisted in numerous weddings, doing both hair and makeup. A few years ago, Jamie Weir hired me as her Office Assistant here at Weir Event Rentals. While we do rentals for all kinds of events, weddings are typically number
one. 2 year ago, I expressed an interest in doing Day of Coordination, but it just was not the right time to add the service. A few months after that initial conversation, a vendor that we work with offered “Day of Coordinating” Classes. Without hesitation, I took the opportunity and Jamie agreed to add on the service. While I am new to this specific field, I am not new to the components that come with day of coordination. In 2019, I had the honor of supplying Day of Coordination for 4 different weddings.
What is offered:
We have a standard package with a starting cost of $800. This includes unlimited communication via phone and email. After the initial consultation, we will meet two more times face to face. The first meeting we will go over the questionnaire you will receive after reserving. We will also discuss things like tables, linens, and layouts. If you are still working on hiring different vendors but are struggling to figure out what exactly to ask- I will be more than happy to provide Vendor Question Reference pages. The second face to face meeting will be a venue walk through. This must be scheduled no later than THREE weeks prior to the event. Day of Coordinators typically come in to play about EIGHT weeks before the event. I will be available to you from the time you sign the agreement, but at that eight week mark I will be even more involved, and your vendors should start directing their questions and concerns to me instead of you. My job is to take as much stress away from you and your significant other as possible. I will begin to confirm all vendors and their timelines, and then create a master timeline for the day of your wedding. For the rehearsal, I will be available for THREE hours onsite. At this time, I will hand out timelines to you and your wedding party. We will do a ceremony run through to ensure that you and your party are comfortable. After the ceremony rehearsal, we will go over the reception details. The day of your wedding, I will be available to you for EIGHT hours. If you think I will be needed for additional hours, there is a charge of $75 an hour. These hours must be purchased no later than 14 days prior to the event. My job on the day of, is to be your eyes and ears. I will be available for some set up and a guide for all vendors coming in. It will be my job to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. I will handle all situations to the best of my abilities and make sure little to no stress comes to you or your wedding party. Tear down is not included in the EIGHT hours you receive. If you would like me to be present or help with tear down/load out, there will be an additional charge of $75 per hour. We can also provide a Day of Coordinator Assistant to help throughout the day. Assistant for 8 hours is $300 and each additional hour is $50.
